New project about Reliability issues in the modeling of subsurface failure and damage, using Embed- ded Finite Elements approved

A new project for research in "Reliability issues in the modeling of subsurface failure and damage, using Embedded Finite Elements" has been assigned by Mercator Research Center Ruhr (MERCUR) to the Institute for structural mechanics.

This project has been established within "Engineered Underground", one of the three focus areas of the developing Research Department Subsurface Modeling and Engineering.
