14 students from Harvard, Princeton and the University of Pennsylvania visited the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering on 25 and 26 June 2013 within the Ruhr Fellowship Program. The Institute for Structural Mechanics organized a Seminar on Challenges for Civil Engineering Infrastructure and a research information meeting. The students gained insight on numerical simulations of bio materials and mechanized shield tunneling. They also visited the Virtual Reality Lab (see photo), the Structural Testing Laboratory and the wind tunnel at our Faculty.
